DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN MUNICH AREA, GERMANY.
Check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers. (Continental Dinner)
DAY 2 – MUNICH AREA.
Included city tour of Munich known as Germany’s “secret capital” with a local guide. See the various highlights of the city on this tour including Theresienwiese – the venue of Oktoberfest, Old City Ring with Karlsplatz, Obelisk, Konigsplatz. On to Nymphenburg Summer Palace with short picture stop, then Olympic Park, Schwabing, Ludwig Street with the statue of King Ludwig, Angel of Peace monument, Parliament and Opera House ending with a short walk at the beautiful main square, Marienplatz to see the Glockenspiel. Time to do some shopping and sample its most famous product – beer! (B, Continental Dinner)
DAY 3 – MUNICH – SALZBURG, AUSTRIA.
Travel eastwards on the Autobahn across the border into Austria to enjoy spectacular Alpine scenery and arrive at Salzburg. Afternoon, meet the local guide at Nonntal coach terminal and first a short coach tour to Frohnburg Castle, Hellbrunn Palace and the Gazebo – all venues of the popular Sound of Music movie. Return to Nonntal for the start of walking tour to see Mirabelle Gardens, Mozart Square, Altermarkt, Residenplatz, CATHEDRAL, cemetery of St. Peter, Festival Theatres, University Square, Getreidegasse and Mozart’s birthplace. DAY 4 – SALZBURG – BUDAPEST, HUNGARY.
In the afternoon, head for the Hungarian border and view the majestic Danube on your way and surrounded by hills and vineyards. Reach the capital city of Budapest for two overnights. (B, Continental Dinner)
DAY 5 – BUDAPEST.
Buda Castle dominates the twin cities of Buda and Pest, separated by the broad ribbon of the Danube. Heroes’ Square typifies the modern capital, while along the riverbank you find the old inns and wine cellars. Sightseeing with a local guide of this great city takes in the Parliament Building, Margaret Island, Fishermen’s Bastion, the Royal Castle, and Matthias Coronation Church. (B, Indian Dinner)
DAY 6 – BUDAPEST – VIENNA, AUSTRIA.
Head for the Austrian border by way of Györ. You’ll be in Vienna in time to enjoy your first afternoon and evening in one of the Europe’s best and most loved capitals. (B, Continental Dinner)
DAY 7 – VIENNA.
Morning guided sightseeing of Vienna – Start with a tour featuring the State Opera, Parliament, and the Town Hall. Stop for a stroll in Heroes’ Square to view the Hofburg. Finally, an inside visit of ST. STEPHEN’S CATHEDRAL. Afternoon, time free to see some unexplored corner of this intriguing capital or maybe just to do some shopping down the Kärntnerstrasse. DAY 8 – VIENNA–PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC.
Drive this morning to north, enter the Czech border, travelling across Moravia through the rich farmlands of Bohemia to Prague. Evening arrival into Prague. (B, Continental Dinner)
DAY 9 – PRAGUE.
The wealth of gothic and baroque architecture perhaps inspired Dvorak and Smetana, both Prague composers. The included guided sightseeing features landmarks such as the Jewish Quarter, Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge, and the Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock. (B, Indian Dinner)
DAY 10 – DEPART PRAGUE. The vacation ends with breakfast this morning. (B) |
